D16 tps sensor issue??

Post by ParagonCloud »

Never had this happen before so I'm not sure what to do.. I have a z6 head with a skunk2 pro manifold. Turbo'ed and built the motor. Having an issue with the tps. When ignition is on it reads 0-100% just fine, proper 5v when on and running, installed properly with the little plade in the tb cage, map and tps plug-ins are in their respective spots, and have a re freshed ecu with hondata. However as soon as it starts it reads 0% and when at or above 2k it cuts power to 1k in and out repeatedly. Tried 2 sensors and same thing on both.. I don't know what to do. Any one had this issue before?

It sounds like there may be a wiring issue if it does not read when running but does when not running. I would suggest trying the ECU in a known working vehicle.

Another thing to look at is the Skunk2 Pro IM puts the TPS very close to the firewall. If your mounts are worn out, the engine can torque back and the TPS can hit the firewall. This could damage the TPS or the plug. If the plug gets damaged, it may not latch well, the pins may not connect well, etc.
