2008 FG2 SI K20Z3 BASEMAP TROUBLESHOOT

Post by DaCalviOne »

Hello! It's been a while since I've last used this site, but I had a quick question!
I previously owned a 07 FA5 SI it was a stock K20Z3 with K&N intake on it; I had tuned on here before, completely stock. I lost the Car and the Hondata but I just purchased the new v2 model, and got a 08 FG2 SI and wanted to know if it was safe to use the tune I had on the FA5 on my FG2 or should I start completely over? The FG2 has the same K&N SRI that was on the FA5.

I also have been having the CEL light come on with code P0420 (CAT) and was wondering if the tune would eliminate that as well!

You can try the calibration and see how well it works.

Fuel tables need to be adjusted but not by much. There are spots where it's lean and another where it's rich.

Here are two better ones taken today. The first is almost 13-15 mins just daily commute and the second I tried to give it a 3rd WOT best I could in traffic

The part throttle log shows that it's running lean in the higher RPMs and a little rich in between. In the WOT log the car is running lean. I would refrain from driving the car too hard. At WOT its hitting 14AFR.

Ok. Yeah I noticed high knocks in 4 after the WOT. I don't really beat on the car like that anyways. Would you say it's safe to run this basemap as is though? Or would anything have to be changed? I really appreciate your help with this!

I recommend to adjust the fuel at part throttle. The o2 is doing most of the work right now. Once those things are adjusted you should be ok to run the base map as long as you only normal drive the car and you don't do any WOT pulls.

I can take a look at it again when I have some downtime.

I realized you are running one of EFICUs calibrations. I'm sure the previous car was running like a champ. I adjusted the fuel. You should be able to normal drive the car. Don't drive it hard until you get it properly tuned.

So I had two versions of that revision you edited. The sport version is the one you checked, I'm using the same revision WITHOUT sport. Can you check the one I'm CURRENTLY using and make any changes?
