Hi Hondata team,
Since the most recent software update, I have noticed there is some sort of glitch in Hondata in seeing and showing correct Gear 4.
What happens is and on a few logs I have recorded, I have car in 4th gear and it registers or shows I am in Gear 5, even though the cluster is showing correct gear 4 and signal output from vehicle is correct.
This only happens after I shift into 5th gear and when trying to downshift to 4th it continues to read gear 5 on the Hondata display on the laptop. I have noticed if I press clutch couple of times it then registers and reads gear 4.
This also only does it for gear 4 and no other gear, All other gears it reads correctly every single time.
Any recommendations on this and if it is a fix that could be done?
Thanks,
Mo

What changes have you made to the vehicle?

Re: Error in gear selection reading on Hondata display
Hey Spunkster,
The car is FBO with fully built engine and PPG transmission.
I have had this setup with previous setups and the gear selector was reading just fine.
This seems to be effecting how boost control hits when it says it is in 5th when it is in 4th according to my tuner John P from FK8TD.
He told to reach out to Hondata as it may be some sort of software hiccup on the recent update possibly.

Have the gear ratios been changed in the transmission?
