2006 si hi a/f and short term help

Post by Chblakest »

Ok guys got a super good deal on an 06 si recently and brought it back from the dead. Its finally on the road but the A/f is aroumd 21-22 at ifle. Short term trim is off the charts at idle. Under load everything fine. Should i worry? Has a chopped up used to be skunk2 cai. Alpha header. 650cc dw injectors. Slunk2 fuel rail. Dw fuel pump. Mega power rr exhaust. Skunk2 pro manifold.

Welcome to the forum,

When the fuel trims are out of wack like that you should be worried. Something might be off. The tune would definitely need adjustments if the injectors were upgraded.

Post the calibration file you are running and a datalog of normal driving the car. I can take a look at it.

The VTC0 fuel table is running rich. The fuel trims are maxed at 47%. The rest of the nonVtec tables need to be cleaned up as well there are many instances of the lines over lapping. I posted a picture of you map and a stock map so you can see how the lines are not crossing in the stock fuel table.

If you want to do it yourself I suggest you find a basemap that has not been tampered with then dial in the fuel. If you plan to get it properly tuned then adjust the fuel at VTC0 and normal drive the car until you get it tuned.

Where did you fine the current calibration you are running? Did you try to make adjustments?

I used autotune. Seems to be making it worse. Would you recommend any of the preset tunes eith the bigger injectors?

Any of the preset tunes you use will need some adjustments. Find one with the mods closed to yours. I suggest you restart your tuning process but do not use autotune. Look up evans tuning on youtube. He has some videos that explain the basics.

I am not very familiar with auto-tune but I assume it has caveats.
