accord adapter problem

Post by h22accord1997 »

i have a 1997 honda accord lx five speed obd2a that i just swapped an 1994 honda prelude h22 obd1 motor to it.

my problem is that i want to run a obd1 p28 ecu but with that ecu it wont start, with the original p13 it runs but idles bad

ive been told that i need a custom obd2a to obd1 adapter harness
because my car didnt come with vtec as it is an lx and for my accord to work right i cant use a normal ecu adapter because there are some cables that need to be switched and added

please help my car has been garaged for 7 months

You will need more than an adapter harness. You will need to run extra wires from the engine to the ecu. You should contact a shop that is experienced in engine swaps, such as one of our dealers.
