Battery Sensor

I have a 2012 honda civic si with k24, its full bolt on N/A. Is there a way to remove the battery sensor on the negative battery post? I have the ELD Enabled option and fuel econ alternator unchecked in the misc parameters. I am wanting to relocate the battery to the trunk and honestly dont feel like extending this harness to the trunk especially if its not being used. If i just unplug the sensor i get a check charging system warning and i get really annoyed by these things.

I would recommend that you not relocate the battery as it usually causes more problems than it helps.

Well i have to, with hasport mounts and skunk2 intake the battery tray doesnt work. Plus where the battery is located currently is where i plan to install the turbo after some other work. I already have 1/0 oxygen free copper wire ran to the trunk and have all the necessary fused distro blocks and the proper lugs with good heat shrink to do this project. the electrical side of it isn't much of a bother to me, i used to do car audio and remote start installs for a living and I depinned, shortened, and sleeved each individual sensor wire on the entire engine harness I just need to know how to get rid of the current sensor without throwing a check charging system message to get the battery out of the way.

Would it be possible to solder in a resistor or use a transistor to simulate the sensor? I guess I just don't exactly understand what this sensor does or if it's absolutely necessary to the charging system. I figured disabling the alternator controls in the misc parameters would make this sensor not needed. The eld unit has been removed from the fuse box and it didn't throw a message. However unplugging this sensor throws an error. If the sensor is absolutely necessary then I can use remote terminals in the engine bay with positive and negative runs going back to the battery in the trunk, or I can extend the harness to the trunk.

You will probably need to keep this sensor.
