2012 Si Tune

Post by hamadata »

Hey all,

I finally got my Flash Pro and am very excited to get the build ever closer to finished. Currently, the car has K&N short ram "CAI" and ... exhaust along with what seems to be a 3-inch piping the rest of the way back (the car came with this Frankenstein of an exhaust). I am still planning on putting a proper exhaust set up that's a bit quieter down the line along with some other upgrades planned, however, I will not be done until well after winter so am asking for a basic tune-up to help me get by until the build is fully done and I can get a proper full tune on the thing. I will attach the calibration and datalog files to this post. I currently have the Hondata provided "2012 310cc Short ram + ... exhaust + ... exhaust" basemap on it seems to run right but am looking for improvement where needed.

The calibration is not bad. The fuel could use some fine tuning but its not far off. Timing seems good as there is no knock present.

This should be good enough to drive until you get it properly tuned.

Hey CalibratEd!

I really appreciate you taking a look at the files and the feedback. I have this issue that I really need some help with:

Before I got the Flashpro, the car would go into limp mode when I decelerated under highway loads (even if I was just going 70mph in 6th gear). Since the car had no tune and was running on aftermarket intake and the ... exhaust, I assumed this was the reason. Then when I put the basemap on it, the car definitely runs better and I assumed that the limp mode under decel issue was gone. However, today I decelerated in 4th gear (about 50mph) and the same limp mode issue happened. The problem goes away once I restart the car however for a short period after that the car feels like it is adjusting things (maybe fuel trims?). I am unsure if you have any info on what could be the cause other than it needing changes to the tune or what I could do to help you help me find the cause. I will be waiting on your reply to see where I should go from here.

Thanks,
Hamadata

I would suggest you make a datalog of the issue you are experiencing. I can then review it and let you know if I find anything.
