Is a VIN # necessary to purchase and use?

Hi, new here. Building a track car from scratch, so there's no VIN. I saw on the form to ship the ECU to Hondata for K-Pro that they're asking for a VIN. Is having a VIN necessary to get and use K-Pro?

You do not have to enter the VIN.
