Hi,
It probably drives you guys crazy that I'm going to ask this because I'm a complete tuning NoOB.
Specs V4 k20a2 lightweight exedy stage 1 flywheel, injen cai, 72mm k tuned TB, RBC port matched, alpha 2 rh 2.5", Yonaka 2.5 small resonator 3.5 back box,ev14 Bosch 550cc Injectors (yes genuine). Stock wideband, although I do have Aem wideband powered up and reading just not sure if it's hooked up to kpro (street tune by questionable mechanic) checking this today!
I'm watching Evans performance academy and learning lots. But Basics, what basemap would be the best place to start. K20a2 550cc. Or any better place to begin?
Not installed but coming soon 340lph Aem fuel pump.
Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated there are alot of choices for PRB kmanager basemaps just would like to know a safe one to start?
Motor is healthy leakdown 5% 5% 4% 5%
Compression lowish but consistent 175 to 180 all 4
Thanks,
IG ep3kallday if you wanna see. Oh yea and 2003 Civic ep3

Since you are trying to learn, I suggest you start with a stock base calibration. This way you learn what the tables mean and the affects on how the car runs. Start with the basics of inputting the injector data and then move to adjusting the fuel. Once you're more comfortable you can start to work on the timing and VTC tables.adampwoolwich wrote: Tue Sep 19, 2023 9:42 am Hi,

Thanks so much! I figured as much. Quick question, My Ev 14s are direct from Bosch I emailed them last night to get dead times. I have a aftermarket fuel psi gauge its 50. Should I just use the Grams 550cc Deadtimes and pw? They sell ev14s matched with a logo on?

I normally go with the deadtimes from the company the injectors were purchased them from. The reason being is you don't know if its a simple rebranded product or a modified version of the product.adampwoolwich wrote: Tue Sep 19, 2023 11:08 am Thanks so much! I figured as much. Injector dead times are dependent on the opening and hold current from the injector driver. Therefore unless the dead time is measured using a Honda ECU, it will not be correct. As far as I know no one uses a Honda ECU to measure dead times when they sell injectors. This is what we see as well with dead times from the manufacturer or supplier - they often are wildly incorrect.
Still it gives you a starting point.
