Added a stage 1 tune to my Accord 2.0T 10AT. It ran great for about half a tank and then started the “marbles in a can” sound on moderately hard acceleration. I have heard that some of the local gas stations’ “premium” may not be the rated octane, so possibly that was the issue.
I have run another 20-25 gallons of Shell 93 (best in our area according to another tuning shop) and I’m still getting some pinging under load.
Is there a certain amount of time I should expect it to take for “good” fuel to clear up whatever was learned by the ECU when running something with less octane than the tune required? The car was fine and never pinged before the tune. I’m a little worried it’s still pinging at this point.

You may need to reduce the timing that it is calling for as you should not get audible knock.

Post the calibration file you are running and a datalog. I can take a look at it.

Thanks for the input folks. I spoke to Tech Support today again and decided to flash back to stock. I did a couple full throttle pulls in places where I was getting the pinging before such as an uphill on-ramp and all was normal on the stock calibration.
I’ll dig through the logs I have and try to find something representative to post.
I don’t know how to post calibrations, but I’ll try if someone can point me toward the steps for doing that. That is assuming there’s a way to get the Hondata Stage 1 tune calibration out of the software, since it’s not in the ECU at this point.

60bubba to post a calibration and datalog, first save each inside FlashPro Manager. How to do that below:
1. To save a datalog, connect the FlashPro to the computer, and open FlashPro Manager.
Click on the FlashPro button found at the top of the application between the bluetooth icon and the calibration button.
In the FlashPro window that opens, click on the Datalogging tab.
Click on the datalog you want to save
Click "Save As" and save it in your preferred location
2. Not going to go over saving a calibration as the application makes you save it before closing the program.
3. To upload both to a message, when writing a post or reply, click the "attachments" tab found below the text box you type inside of (there are two tabs, "Options" and "Attachments".
Once you've clicked the attachments tab, click "Add files"
Navigate to where your file is saved and select it. Click Open.
Mouse over the text box you've been typing your post inside of. Click inside the message in the location where you want the file to appear.
Down in the Attachments tab, click "Place inline"
Now your file will appear in your message.
