The car was knocking a bit. I reduced timing in those areas. The fuel looked good so i only made some minor adjustments. The car seems to be running hot which can be a reason for knock. The car is reducing timing due to the heat. This would cause that lose of power feeling. The coolant temp reached upwards of 200F. The short ram intake is also causing an increase Intake air temperatures. I would not drive the car to hard until you get it fully tuned. This way all the tables can be looked over in detail.

Thank you! When you say get it fully tuned, is this something you can help me with?

Also, do you think installing a cold air intake or lifting the hood up slightly help with this heating issue?

Faizan,

Yes I am able to help with that. I pm’d you the details.

A cold air intake would definitely help. Lifting the hood would slightly help. You have to keep in mind the weather conditions in your area. A cold air intake is great but if it rains a lot in your area it’s something to think about.

I live in toronto canada, it does not rain a lot here, however it snows a lot here. For new I will try to keep my short ram and replace the air filter for it and then get it fully etuned. Would full tune fix the heating problem while keeping the short ram intake and current setup?

An Etune will optimize the tables meaning it will compensate for the heat. The heat can only be addressed by providing cooler air to the intake and getting a thermostat that will open at a lower temperature. How hot does it get up there?

In summer for about 4-6 months, it stays between 20-30 degrees and max it has gone up this year was 32 degrees. Rest of the year, it stays cooler under 20 degrees and goes as low as negative -20

What Intake verision do you have? I know Ktuned has one that stops behind the headlight and another that points toward the back by the exhaust manifold.
