Hey guys,
Currently looking to see what is a normal rate for Injector MS at Idle & Cruising under 2,500 RPM.
I am having an issue right now where the car is stumbling pretty hard at idle & cruising under 2,500 RPM.
I have changed the spark plugs, the injectors, new battery & still the same results.
Injectors are from a Youtuber HunterTuned & are flowed to be 1000CC injectors. But I also had another set from him which were 1500CC.
This started happening out of nowhere.
I am currently at idle seeing around 1.78MS. Not sure if that is way too low or not.
I am thinking the Dead Times are pretty wrong but not 100% sure. I was supplied the Dead Times with the injectors but it still doesn't seem right.
Anyone have some input what the MS should be around idle? I read somewhere it should range from 2.5-3.5MS.
What is the typical Injector MS at Idle/Cruise?

Re: What is the typical Injector MS at Idle/Cruise?
I made some changes by pulling some timing out of the low RPM/Load areas & it did make some improvements.
The setup is ebay Turbo, 1000cc HunterTuned Injectors, 255 Walboro, F22 SOHC stock bore (85mm) Wiseco Pistons, Eagle Rods, Stock Head with OEM valves, ARP head studs, King bearings, blah blah mild build.
I had a great Map that I created when I was on the stock block & used it to start the new build which was all fine & never had any issues.
I recently thought it would be beneficial for more Ignition Timing throughout the map thinking because I have a built bottom end that it would be safe.
It seems after pulling out some timing the cruising & idle did improve.
I think I am going to upload the original tune I used on the stock block & see what happens.

Have you entered the correct dead times for the injectors you are using?

Well the injectors are not from a large prominent company, they are from HunterTuned & yes I entered in the Dead Times provided.
It is definitely a lot better since pulling the timing back out at low throttle but still bucking & misfiring a little.
The plug are also gapped to 0.015.

Not sure if you fixed this issue, but running same injectors and having same issues. Issue resolves itself when I switch to other injectors

Exact same issue for me. I was chasing what i though was a vacuum leak or IACV issues for the past 2 weeks. What injectors did you go with instead?Lowered_8thgen wrote: Fri Sep 29, 2023 3:30 pm Not sure if you fixed this issue, but running same injectors and having same issues. I swapped back to my stock injectors and all my problems went away. What did you do to resolve it?G. Wiffington wrote: Wed Aug 09, 2023 12:49 pm Well the injectors are not from a large prominent company, they are from HunterTuned & yes I entered in the Dead Times provided.

I am experiencing the same problems while using the same injectors. Problem goes away after I try different injectors.Lowered_8thgen wrote: Fri Sep 29, 2023 3:30 pm Not sure if you fixed this issue, but running same injectors and having same issues.
