Looking for direction on tune/tuner. K24 swap fg2

Post by Danny30p »

Hello,
I need some help in getting my swap up and running properly. I swapped in a K24a2 Rbb1 about 3 months ago but haven't been able to drive cause its not tuned at all. I did start and drive it just once around the block to make sure things were done correctly. The car doesn't rev correctly and hangs allot. I'm sure it is from running the stock ecu its not knocking or anything no CELS. I'm hoping someone can help get me in the right direction on a Tune. Completely Stock RBB 1 , with stock 25 deg vtc, Civic Si Intake manifold RBB I believe, stock Civic Si injectors and that is it. Stock header and exhaust from 06 Si. it does also have a intake but I kind of just hacked a old AEM cold Air after the MaF and put a filter on it. if that will be an issues right off the bat I can get something more legit. Just trying to get it running safely before I continue to build it. Thanks for any info, excited to get her running and use this Flashpro

Welcome to the forum,

Do you plan to get it tuned later on? Do you just need something to drive the car safely?

Have you loaded any calibrations files yet? And can you provide a datalog if you have.

Hello,
I am really just wanting to get it to its stock k24 capabilities drive it around safely I bought the car hydrolocked and really know nothing about the car specifically trans. Eventually I will be doing mods to make it a track/autocross car but at the moment it is just my first attempt at a motor swap in a car I always loved. Thanks for your reply I did get her cleaned up today and I actually downloaded a 0 deg vtc file from another thread on here to just start the car. I did everything correctly and did start the car and datalogged it but I didn't drive or anything just let it warm up. first start in 3 months and that was just a quick start as well. I also did a datalog where I just blipped the throttle but idk if that helps or anything. I am reading, I believe I opened the throttle body while it was off the car I believe to clean it could that cause issue? I'll attempt to attach the data logs. thanks again

Sounds good. Can you post the calibration you used when you data logged the car. Regarding the throttle body, I am not sure if it will cause any issues. Are you experiencing anything at the moment?

At idle there is a small area that needs to be adjusted. Once it reaches operating temperature the AFR at idle is pretty good. I don't see any error from the car so all sensor are working properly. When you get a chance take it for a drive. Make sure the car reaches operating temperature before you datalog.

The car is running lean. I made some fuel adjustments. Load the revised file and post another log.

The fuel looks a lot better. I made a few more fuel adjustments. Load the new file and create another datalog.

I made some more fuel adjustments. You are hitting cells you haven't before. The CEL is from the MAF. When this basemap was created they forgot to turn that code off. When you run a speed density tune that code needs to be turned off. I went ahead and turned it off.

Load the new file and datalog the car.
