Firmware update fail

Post by DiesMorte »

Hello!
Today faced an issue with the Hondata: plugged it to the PC, FPManager shows a message "The FlashPro firwmare will be upgraded. Please unplug the FlashPro from the vehicle" - at moment Hondata was already unplugged from the car. After pressing "Ok" the FPManager freezes and not responding (no green bar at all, just an empty window). Hondata is flashing with green Power light and nothing happens for a long time (20-30 minutes).
FPManager version 4.1.1.0 (i also tried 4.0.8.0 - same problem).
Switching from USB 3.0 to 2.0 and vice versa - no result.
PC has Windows 10.
Please, help to solve an issue.
P.S. Not only me face this issue, 3-4 Hondata users around me got the same problem.

Thanks for the reply! Exactly the same thing happens on 4.1.2.0. Hondata flashing with green light. FPManager is not responding after pressing "Firmware upgrade" -> "Ok". Still no green bar of updating the firmware

With everything plugged in and the ignition in the on position, go to the Help menu and click on “send feedback”. Include a detailed description of the issue.

Thanks!
Seems like it start working properly. I dont know exactly what helps. Steps:
1. Completely delete previous version of the FPManager (4.1.1.0)
2. Download and install the latest version (4.1.2.0)
3. Download and install USB drivers from Hondata website
4. In PC settings i remove the FlashPro from "Known Devices" to let the PC add it once again
5. Reset the PC
After those actions firmware updated succesfully.
