Integra LS Turbo Build s300 v3 issues (first startup)

Post by Jeremyh2888 »

My turbo build
57/63 T3/T4 turbo
440cc injectors
Walbro 255lph fuel pump
Victor x  intake manifold
Ram style exhaust manifold
HKS ssq BOV
Ebay 38mm wastegate
Stock map sensor
3" exhaust

For the first start up it was my stock LS P75 ecu. The car started but ran very rough, bogging and misfiring, any type of throttle didnt make any change to the engine, it was running like it was going to die. I turned the car off and remembered I had a old ECU (p06 converted to vtec, so basically a p28) that was chipped and tuned when I was running nitrous 15 years ago. So I plugged it in and started the car. It started to perfect and idle great without any issue. Then all of a sudden the car died and i could smell electrical smoke from the inside of the car. I noticed the ecu was full of smoke and a capacitor blew up and a transistor. I did some research and found that I had the IAT sensor and purge valve swapped and it caused this issue. After all this happened I purchased a hondata s300 v3 to install into my P75 ecu. Got everything installed and changed out the IAT sensor and fired the car up with a base map from hondata. It has a super rough idle spudders and bogs, super low idle and smoke like a bunch of unburned fuel. I'm stumped on what to do next and know very little with tuning. Does something just need adjusted or does it sound like something is fried. I'm just at a loss and frustrated and can't fugure out what direction to go. Maybe I need a modified map to make the car run better. I currently do not have a wideband but will have one this Friday so I can get some numbers on that.

Let me know what you all think. I'm just at a standstill and want to make some progress in a proactive direction

Thank you

You should try the ECU on a known working vehicle using their calibration and see if it runs normally. If it does not, then it sounds like the ECU may be damaged.

Does the basemap you're using have the correct injector size and MAP sensor loaded? What fuel pressure are you running? Which engine / Hondata base map are you using for your engine?
