Need help tuning 2013 Civic Si Sedan

Post by faizan.fazal »

Hi,

I have a 2013 CIvic Si sedan and it has a fullrace 3 inch catback exhaust system, Ktuned short ram intake. I am new to hondata and I need some help tuning my car to get more power and to make it sound better after cat delete.

I have currently uploaded a base tune called "CivicSi-2012-2014-6-SRI-CATBACK (Please see the attached image)

Can you help me tune my car to sound and perform better with a custom tune?

Thanks

Welcome to the forum,

When running an aftermarket intake it is best to switch to a speed density calibration. I can look over your logs to make sure the car is running safe. If you want to tune for power your are looking for a custom Etune or dyno tune.

I’ll take a look at it when I get a chance. Did disconnect the primary or secondary o2?

Hey man,

Sorry I took some time to get back to you but basically I was just waiting for the O2 sensor extension to arrive. It was the secondary O2 sensor but I installed it today and tuned the car with the same base map (CivicSi-2012-2014-6-SRI-CATBACK). And the engine light is gone now. I recorded another datalog that I am attaching here. I have noticed that when I drive on higher RPM, sometimes the car starts losing power and something seems off. And then it goes back to normal after I shut the engine and restart the car. Not sure what is going on. Could you please take a look at this new datalog I uploaded?

Thanks

The car might feel like its running odd as the fuel needs adjustments. There are regions where its very rich and areas where its running very lean. The car also has knock so timing needs to be reduced in those areas. The VTC tables could also be optimized. They are a bit sporadic for my taste.

Would you be able to help generate custom tune with the adjustments you suggested?

I can make minor adjustments to make sure the car is running safe. Optimizing the VTC tables would be a custom Etune as you need to tune all the tables to set the proper values.

Sure thing. I’ll make the revisions when I have time. For now don’t drive the car too hard.

I made some fuel adjustments. Load the new file and create another datalog.

Hi,

I uploaded the new calibration and recorded a new datalog. The drive overall seems a little better than before but when I drive a little aggressively, the car seems to lose power especially in the first gear (Maybe the engine heats up or something, not too sure). Please see the new datalog attached.

Thanks,
Faizan
