09 Si with Reflash just installed j35 throttle body. Help with datalog question.

Post by 04SilverCivicEX »

Ok so first off this is only like my second post here on the forum so tia for any responses!

My setup is as follows: Original AEM CAI bought back in 06. Vibrant RH w/cat delete. Skunk2 70 mm cat back. Just recently added a J35 throttle body since I just purchased my Flashpro. Now I dont have a basemap as the ecu was reflashed back when I first got an 06 si by sending it to a dealer. So seeing as I have yet to get a personalized tune. I was using my flashpro to watch my AFR to make sure the reflash accounted for the J35 and wasnt going lean. With my limited knowledge it looks like its not running lean at all but rather just a tad bit rich. My question is, I noticed that the AFM sensor display was going into the red. Is this normal? Anything else you can see on the data log that seems off? I will be getting a tune/calibration once I get my new 3.5" CAI and RRC.

Datalog consists of some idling after throttle relearn procedure, daily/city driving, and a few 3rd/wot pulls b4 going back home.

Please post the calibration file and log to the forum. It will help others in the future if they have a similar issue.

I can review the log once it’s posted.

There is no calibration as I had the ECU reflashed by a dealer prior to owning my flashpro. Its the Hondata reflash. Datalog is posted in previous post. Tia

I saw the Google drive link but it’s best to upload it to the forum since you can decide to stop hosting the file and the link would
Break.

If you don’t have the calibration file then I can’t do much in terms of adjustments.

That is why I recommend to use a base map closes to your modifications and datalog it.

Once you upload the file I can take a look and let you know what I find.

Not sure as to how to upload it to the forum.

Sorry if I wasnt clear but not asking for any adjustments. Just curious how the datalpg looked and the AFM going into the red was ok in the datalog.

I haven't looked at the log but i assume the AFM is reading higher than the default value Hondata placed on the threshold for it to turn red. I think the default value is 30g/s. The engine will read above that at higher loads. So its normal for it to turn red.

Post the calibration file you are running and the datalog to the forum. Under the box where you type your reply you should see 2 tabs one says options the other says Attachments. Select the Attachments tab and you should see the option to upload the files.

i'm having the same issue, installed a j35, runs great but i never tuned it for it so sometimes the lean error comes up... mine is running lean. just installed 1000 rc injectors and put it in the tune... however still running very lean due to the j35 tb not in the tune.

does anyone know how or a simple tune update i can play with?

i have tried 20% fuel and it helped with AFM however, gas is not cheap...

Create a thread with a datalog and your calibration. I can take a look at it.
