Some beginner Questions

Hello folks.

since I'm translating the whole thing from German, I'll try to keep it short. If I need to answer questions more precisely, please ask me.

A few months ago we bought a Civic FN2 White Edition Type R, which was converted into a racing car and also has a racecar-passport in Germany etc.

A Flashpro was included with the purchase, which is linked to the vehicle.

The software asks us for a password that we do not know. Password reset ensures that a reset email goes to the person who made the software years ago. We have no contact with this person and inquiries remain unanswered.

Is there a way for us to still look at the data or, even better, read the ECU?

We would hate to factory reset the ECU and lose the customized software because it basically works fine. However, we would like to understand them and maybe adapt or improve them.

Hallo willkommen Alex,

Unfortunately if the tuner locked the calibration there is nothing you can do unless you find the tuner and they give you the password to unlock the calibration file. The only thing you can do now is start from scratch. You are welcome to ask question if you are wanting to learn to tune. Evans tuning has great videos but to my knowledge they are not in German.

Ok, thank you. We Should try this After the Season and not 1 week Before the Next Race.

Another Question:
If i understand it right you can put two different „maps“ on the flashpro Unit so you can programm the ecu With two different maps at the track without the laptop? How can i figure out if there is a second map on the box atm? How can Flash those two?

(No panic- i will not try anything when i am Not Sure what i am doing. ;) - i Just Start to learn an figure out the Basics.
