S300 wont connect.

Post by EFhatch »

Hi there! someone called me for asking help for fix a problem he is having for connect to laptop, received board, he told me suddently wont connect anymore , received board and indeed, dont connect to laptop, it's like you dont connect nothing to laptop, sometimes when something is wrong, windows shown something is wrong with device connected and so but this time nothing happens, ive been testing tracks for USB and everything is ok that 5 pin connected to laptop, checked some tracks and resistos and definitely can't find where is the error, i cant go forward due lack of information, do you can help me out a bit more for tryng to do test? im able to desolder and solder correctly any smd resistors, etc, i have equipped for years for working with many obd1 ecus of course i learn everyday for new things but i can do some test for try to find problem, ecu works good so thats not the problem, hondata works good, 2 green leds on, even de car started with not problem etc, problem is just connecting to laptop. to send you back would be a pain due im in europe and even to send to europe dealers due customs will delay a lot of time that maybe i can try to fix here if possible, of course i we found the problem is something more than just a resistor, diode or whatever simple thing i can replace here, of course customer should decide it, he wants to finish his project and id like to help with that out. Let me know please. thank you!

If it is not working, there is nothing you will be able to do to repair it. It will need to come to us and probably be replaced.

Send an email to support<at>hondata.com with the following and I will issue an RMA and give you further
instructions:

Name:
Address:
Phone:
Email:
Serial#:
