FL5 Hondata factory and 91/93 flash tunes

Post by Fkay8 »

Just out of curiosity why on your Hondata FL5 91 and 93 flash tunes you don't use the air charge limit table and on the FK8 tunes you use it?

Another thing that I saw is that on the factory FL5 calibration the general torque limit table have some lower values compared to the request torque tables, I can't understand why is programmed this way.

Thanks in advance

We just used a different air charge limit table. 'Turbo max air charge' vs 'Air charge limit'.

The second question you would have to ask Honda/Bosch.

Could you please show me this table

I understand your point, Honda/Bosch have some logic on this point that I don't understand.

Thanks

Hondata when I load the 93 tune just as it is, a couple of us owners are getting an overboost code. Do you have a solution to that?

What version of software have you used to upload? Did you read the release notes for FlashProManager 4.0.9?

Hi,
I'm having the same issue with P0234. I downloaded my the manager on 4.20.23. What are the steps/procedures to adjust the tune to eliminate the DTC? I currently have a Milltek exhaust and front pipe and drop in filter (not sure if that affects anything). I have a CTR FL5.

Thanks

It is to do with the rev hang. If the throttle is released from redline then the manifold pressure falls much faster than the ECU expects, and the ECU reports this as an overboost condition.

So either disable P0234 or un-select the rev hang mod or wait until later tonight for another release.
