Openloop just means i set it so the o2 sensors does not make fuel adjustments. I made some broad fuel changes and reduced timing where knock was present.

Re: 8th gen si calibration help
That's awesome thank you for that, here's a couple data logs with the calibration you sent me. Figured I'd do two just so you can see a little more of what's going on if that helps. Also I know the data logs say 00 and 01 but they are different data logs, I just shut the car off one time before I ended the data log and just deleted the ones that I had incase of corruption, than made those data logs from the calibration you sent me. Once again thank you and if you were able to make the tune a little aggressive to where she's not hurting herself but also putting out some nice power I wouldn't mind throwing ya a good few bucks for helping me out man.

Re: 8th gen si calibration help
Fuel is good. I added a bit a timing to get a bit of horsepower. The optimal way of doing this is to tune the tables individually which is done during a tune.
Create a similar log. I want to make sure the addition of timing is not causing knock.

Re: 8th gen si calibration help
Hey Ed, the car felt really good that run, the first wot from 3rd at 2500rpm I had to stop abruptly because I thought the car coming was a cop haha and when I went to do my first 6-5-4-3 my traction control was on and she cut out a bit trying to spin the tires in 3rd gear, but everything after that went great. I am sorry the data log is a little long but there's a good few, and nice wot of both kinds along with some regular driving towards the end.

No problem, the more data the better. I cleaned up a small area with knock. The tune is good to go. Reach out when you're ready for a full Etune.

Re: 8th gen si calibration help
That’s awesome Ed, I really appreciate that and I had a question for ya, I went to get the valves adjusted one day and when they adjusted them to the oem specs, the ticking and knock that came out of my car was insane. Like way worse than before and they told me I may have to replace my rocker arm and possibly a camshaft, I told them to put the valves back to what they were because the car ran way better the way it was. It was over a 400$ job by the end of it from the actual Honda dealership, I was wondering if you had any insight on something like that. Or should I have kept the valve adjustment and had say someone like you redo the fueling and everything to make it not sound like that? Any input man is greatly appreciated and if not it’s totally alright, I appreciate everything ya done for me man.

I am not a builder but if they adjusted the valves to spec and you were having issues than I assume you may have a mechanical issue. I would research common issues associated with your car to see if anyone else has had this same issue.
A valve adjustment should not require a tune.
Also, I pm’d you a link.
