New to Hondas and need help
Hey guys, I got myself a little 99 ek and its running 410cc injectors, a 32mm turbo and stock internal d16y8. Im wanting to swap a z6 head on and im not sure how to use the s300v3 hondata platform to make sure the tune knows how to repsond to the different head. Im also having an issue with higher rpms as when im around 5300rpm it stutters and breaks up with my afr gauge reading 12.6 almost all the time. Ive heard colder spark plugs could help but im positive that theres a fueling issue with it as well as the issue at higher rpm. Thanks!!!

For something like this it will need to be tuned on the dyno.

I agree with Spunkster - a dyno tuning session after the head swap would be ideal.
You need to confirm that you have an actual wideband sensor and that the previous owner didn't just install an AFR gauge hooked up to the stock narrowband sensor. Can you post your calibration file and a datalog showing the breaking up?
What is your spark plug gap set at?

Re: New to Hondas and need help
I was stuck with the previous owners tune with the launch control installed but it barely works, itll build boost then when you dump the clutch itll like go real low then pick up in rpm, making it more of a super slow launch control. the car runs and drives great other than when youre full throttle. anywhere around 85% throttle feels amazing but as soon as im 2nd gear of higher around 4500 rpm and up it will break up and it will keep doing so til you let off or back off on throttle.

Take a datalog of the issue, then post it along with the calibration file you posted above.
