No start, No datalog

Post by mukduk »

Looking for some advice. When ignition is switched on, fuel pump does not prime. I figured I would hook up the computer just to see if i seen anything out of the ordinary. However when starting datalogging, nothing will read on any sensors and ECT and IAT will display 320 degrees or so. Green light is on, on s300 board and red light will flash when computer is plugged in. I cant imagine a bad main relay would cause no info to be sent from board to computer. This only happened after the car sat for a few months any help is appreciated

Has J12 been cut on the ECU?

Have the capacitors been replaced on the ECU?

Yeah all capacitors replaced about a year ago when the board was installed and j12 removed. For reference it was fully running, data logging, tuned before I parked it for 2 months

Have you tried the ECU on a known running vehicle?

Have you checked the fuses and wiring in the vehicle?

Tried ecu in known good vehicle and problem persists. Leads me to believe it’s the ecu or s300 is there anyway to check which one it is without cutting any jumpers

If you remove the s300 and cut J1 see if the problem persists. If it does then the ECU is damaged. You can try replacing the capacitors, but his may not solve the issue and the ECU may need to be replaced.
