Euro Civic Type-R P0145 code error

Post by dribbly »

Been using kpro for over a year now, with my JR header and AEM CAI.

Changed my idling last weekend as it seemed to randomly drop down to about 500 then pick up to normal idling again once the engine is warm.

Haven't really driven the car much since and now yesterday morning when starting the car I realise the CEL light has come on.

Hooked up the laptop and its giving me this P0145 error. Then noticed there was a box to check to disable this. Ticked the box, light stayed off for about 20 minutes of driving then comes back on again.

Another strange thing Ive been noticing recently is a strange sound coming from the ecu. The sound like when you load a map on, tick, bzzzzzzz, while Im driving around. Sometimes does it about 3 or 4 times on one journey.

Please help, also have a datalog from when I ticked the P0145 box, but the light didn't come back on as I just rode around the block.

Thanks
Andrew

THe ecu itself is not making the noise...the sound you are probably hearing is a relay somewhere else under the dash.

As for the error code, did you upload the change after disabling that error?

Well i ticked the p0145 box then uploaded the map back onto the ecu.
The OBDII enable box was left unticked.

Started up and drove around for about 2 miles and it stayed off. Only came back on after abour 15 minutes of driving the following day.
