Accord gas milage

Post by eaglefanaz »

i just ran across your post and am hoping you could answer a question for me. i just purchased and uploaded a new calibration to my 2018 civic sport hatch and it feels stronger but seems to have hurt my gas mileage. i don't mind too much since it's not a daily driver but i'm going on a trip from oregon to az and back and will need my previous 40+ mpg highway. i'm lucky to get 30 it seems with the new calibration. it sounds to me like i can disable the calibration so that i can go back to stock for the trip or maybe even use the faster calibration for when i'm in phoenix. hope that makes sense and thanks in advance, i'll call hondata tomorrow also.

Your MPG will vary depending on how much time you spend in boost and pushing it harder will use more fuel. You can always use a different calibration or return to stock at any time you want using the software.

thanks, but i tried the return to stock calibration under online and the mpg didn't come back after driving several trips, mostly highway. do i need to unlock it for a upcoming long distance trip and then lock it again when i get back? it seems like the return to stock didn't take. anyway i can check to see what calibration is currently running? thanks in advance

If you use the return to stock function and it does not give you any errors then it has retuned to stock. You do not need to unlock it.
