05 Type S KPRO Dilemma

Post by Clark_Kent »

I am purchasing KPRO for my 05-S and wondering if I should upload a calibration that that is included in the software similar to my setup or just wait until I actually get on the dyno to install it? I plan on getting it dyno tuned a couple weeks after I receive it. I won't have a laptop for the next few weeks after I purchase KPRO so I'm wondering what I should do? I just don't want to be in a situation where conditions are unsafe and I cannot tune things myself. Just trying to eliminate the risk of running too lean/rich or the chance of any value reading unsafe parameters. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think that with the Kpro installed you still retain the stock program on there until you upload a new calibration. But like I said, I would wait for official word

You should upload the calibration most suited to your situation before going to the dyno.

So will a stock K20Z1 calibration be loaded onto the ECU you send back to me? Will I be able to run that with the mods I already have safely(I/RH/E)? Or will I still have to street tune? Thanks

It may or may not have the 05 calibration preloaded. It is your responsibility to upload the calibration best suited to your vehicle.
