ECU Compatability

Post by gabo »

Does kpro automatically formats itself to the laptop that is first used to access it?? What if I purchase another laptop afterward to be used with Kpro, would that be a problem? The reason I ask is because I already bought an 02 Ecu and primary 02 sensor and would rather buy kpro now and use a friends laptop just to set the coldair intake calibration for a couple of months while I save money for a laptop....

Sorry for japping so much  , and for maybe posting a stupid question....

It does not matter what laptop you use. Just be careful to use the latest version of Kmanager.

I'm not sure what your concern is.

Sorry for not being more clear.

My concern is that after using my friends laptop(I haven't purchase my own yet) on my kpro for some reason might cause issues when using my own laptop further down the line.

There is no problem switching between laptops but we recommend that you manually copy of the calibration (eg copy it onto a CD or USB drive) rather than downloging the calibration from the ECU.
