Aem Wideband Sensor

Post by wheelyking »

Hey, i have managed to get a good deal on an AEM Gauge-Type Wideband UEGO Controller but already have a Wideband sensor fitted to the car. I have not as yet had the chance to wire in the wideband so at the moment it is just plugged in the decat and OBDII is off.

It would be great if i could wire in the AEM and connect Kpro to the wideband sensor supplied with the AEM Kit, is this possible?

I have a UK Civic Type R with a US Kpro and Jackson Charger with Decat. Nitrous is also running.

Thanks

Yes and no. The AEM controller has a programmable 0-5V output which you can feed into the stock oxygen sensor input, similating the output from the stock narrow band. However, in KManager you'll only see the narrow band output, not the true AF ratio.

I thought it was possible to wire in a wideband sensor to a PRB (US) ECU On a uk CTR, are you saying this is not possible?

Because i have been told otherwise.

Sorry, I did not see that you were using a US ECU. The US ECU can only use the OEM o2 sensor.

I will check to see if the wideband sensor in the AEM is the same spec as the wideband fitted to the car to see, if it is, i guess i can split the feed to see and wire it seperatley.

This aside, i have as yet been unable to wire the Wideband into the US Kpro as i guess the wiring loom in the Civic Type R must be different to that of the DC5.

Would you have details of how to wire the wideband Lambda (OEM 02 sensor) into the wiring liim of the UK civic?

Thanks

This has been covered before. We have heard that it is possible, but we have not seen a working example, nor do have a wiring diagram.

i have a similar questions, since my car goes through o2 sensors like some people do underwear. i'm getting the aem uego with bosch wideband
is there anyway for kpro to monitor the 0-5v and datalog it (i know it cant monitor AF from it)? can i wire the sensor in place of the secondary sensor sinces it varies voltage or no?
