Hi,
I am working with a K24A2 with Kpro , and the issue is that anytime I command a cam angle other than zero, the cam actual jumps to 54. For instance, if I am commanding a cam angle of 10 degrees, the cam actual jumps to 54 degrees and it runs terribly of course. I have replaced the timing chain as it was stretched, I have cleaned and tested the VTC solenoid valve, and I have tried different calibrations with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: K24A2 Cam Angle Issue
Have you tried the ECU on a known working vehicle?

Re: K24A2 Cam Angle Issue
I have not yet had the chance to unfortunately
Re: K24A2 Cam Angle Issue
YOu should do that first to rule out a mechanical issue with your vehicle. Also you need to datalog for more than just 4 seconds.

Re: K24A2 Cam Angle Issue
Well, I just put a stethoscope to the VTC solenoid and when I command 10 degrees I can hear it energize/click but its like a on/off switch instead of a PWM duty cycle like it should be. When I command 10 degrees I hear it click on, and then I command 0 degrees and I hear it click off. I tested it outside of the car and it tested fine but either way I will be swapping it with another one to see if it is the issue

Re: K24A2 Cam Angle Issue
Update I swapped out VTC solenoid valve with no luck. I did try another ECU and I was able to command 10 degrees and it worked, but this ECU was on Ktuner. Is it possible that either my ECU or the Kpro board is bad and would there be a way to determine this?

First try the ECU on a known working vehicle.
