No Support for 2015 R18?

Post by 7plymaple »

Hi all,

I just purchased my first Hondata Flashpro for my new Autocross car (2015 Civic LX) and am very disappointed to find the 2015 Civic is not even listed in the software since the Flashpro I got is advertised for 2006-2015 Civic R18. Choosing the 2014 Civic R 18 MT as the vehicle seems to work but the few maps don't have all the options that maps for 2006 - 20011 R18s or 2006 - 2015 Si's have.

Under Calibration=> Throttle there is no check box for "Overrun throttle opening (Throttle Hang)"? This is available for Si's and 2006-2011 civic R18's
I have gone to fuel and changed the Overrun fuel cut delay to 10ms for all gears. This made a noticeable difference. I still feel like there is a bit of throttle hang when I stay in gear and get off the gas and the Overrun throttle opening (throttle hang) check box seems like something that would help me disable that. Without it is there a way to get the same effect by changing some values? If so it would be great if someone could point me to the values that are directly responsible for the throttle hang.

Also I have seen video's where under Calibration => Misc there is a check box to enable VSA. I don't have the option.

The R18 Hondata Flashpro costs as much as the Si version. I am okay with there not being many base maps but can we get all the vehicles and options added to the software please?

In the mean time has anyone with a 2015 found a work around/way to add the options?

Different generation vehicle have different options. Options that other vehicles have is not always possible for all models.

The 2014 and 2015 use the same calibrations.

Does anyone know if it's possible to add the option to the 2014 maps? Or is anyone able to advise on how else I might go about using Hondata cali brations to manipulate the throttle body behavior so it closes 1:1 with the lifting of my foot?

I'm obviously new to this so advice is much appreciated!

You can make changes to the tplate normal table under throttle.

Thanks. I've tried a tune where I set the TPlate values so they are 1:1. It still feels like there is a delay in shutting the throttle body when I lift off without changing gears though. Is there anything else you could think of that might quicken the closing response? I often run courses with low speed sections that have corners spaced to put me in an annoying situation of fighting the engine under throttle with the brakes because the throttle is still on for a moment after my foot has left the pedal. In the lower gears with the stock flywheel it helps to start killing that momentum as soon as possible.
