K24 Swapped DC5 - Idle Surge and Error Codes

Post by yk24a »

Hi all,

Recently swapped my base 03 dc5 (pnd kpro w base 5sp trans) with a k24a3 here in Australia . I’m using the stock 04-05tsx kal on kpro. Issue I’m having is with two error codes in particular:
P1259 - vtec system malfunction (oil pressure switch)
P0134 - AF sensor (No activation)

Also my idle is very high at around 1400 rpm with surging, the kpro shows that my car is moving at 18-20km/h even though I’m stationary (on jack stands XD) - I used countershaft speed sensor for kpro

I’ve disabled the vtec pressure switch within kpro to get rid of the P1259 CEL however it still shows up whenever I data log. Tried revving the engine above 4k rpms and doesn’t cut off like others have mentioned in forums I’ve read. VTP also shows that it’s on so I doubt it would be a faulty switch, assuming that the VTS also turns on when I’m engaging vtec?

The o2 sensor is currently connected to a race header which is currently open as my test pipe doesn’t fit. I can see voltage reading for the sensor however in the error code section o2 sensor status reads ‘not complete’.

This brings me to my next point which is the idle, the engine will surge from 1-2k rpm then being stationary before surging again. AFR during the surge get in the 20s so not sure as to why this is happening.

If anyone could help me out that’d be great as this is the only thing left before I can drive my car XD

I would recommend you start with one of the other calibrations listed under other vehilces and see how they work as a base to begin tuning from.
