Issue Reading Sensors (plus more i'm sure)

Post by Coombsy »

- 55796
- 2.7.8.0
- 1998 Integra GSR
- P28 ECU
- Turbocharged B18, 1000cc injectors, forged internals
- Trying to get vehicle started, made some minor changes to tune to try to start it up and noticed in SManager that many of the sensors are not reading properly. (IAT and CLT @ 302f, TPS @ -13, MAP -29.9).

This car was brought to me as a clean up job from somebody elses handy work. I've checked all grounds, added one that was missing, connected the TPS/MAP sensors properly.

When I crank the engine it does backfire etc but will not run for obvious reason. I also noticed while logging and cranking that no RPM signal shows up in the smanager software, which is strange considering the engine is firing.

Any help on this issue would be appreciated.

Is J12 cut on the ECU?

It was not. I actually found this immediately after putting this post up.

Everything was reading properly after we cut J12. Like I said, cleaning up many messes from previous "mechanic".

Now to find out why it's sending out smoke signals.

Thanks for your help!

What if j12 is completely removed, what could it be then?
