FLASHPRO DATALOGGING QUESTION

Post by codyFB6 »

Hey guys,

Quick question for anyone who knows, if I was datalogging and forgot the stop the log but shut off the car could this harm anything? If it corrupted the log I don’t care too much but if it could have damaged the ecu or hondata I’d like to know.

Thank you

I did this the first time, i havent noticed a issue, i only did it the one time and have only logged 2 more times after. So i cant say for sure if it does but from the one time i did it didnt seem to cause any problems, my hondata is still working fine

Thank you. Do you know if your log was corrupted or not?

Trying to circle around to your email Cody. No it doesn't harm the ECU to shut off the car with the datalog still being made. It shouldn't corrupt the datalog either, when it loses power like that the datalog usually is saved as if you pushed the datalog button to stop it.

Switching off the vehicle when datalogging just stops the datalog. It does not harm anything.
