S300v3 red flashing light

Post by ricky.carp87 »

So I’ve searched and can not find the right answer.

I recently had hondata S300 V3 installed and when I plug the ECU into my car and hook up my laptop I get d1 light up green and a red flashing light on D2. Drivers are installed and say online. Yet I can’t data log, upload or change anything. The car starts fine and runs. But if i unplug my laptop the lights go out and the car runs really bad and dies. J12 is cut jumper installed on j1 28 pin is in along with the 4 pin and the 20 pin. I’ve checked continuity on all pins all read out fine. The only thing I haven’t done is change the capacitors. Could this be the issue? Please help.

It could be the capacitors. I would recommend changing them all.

Did you do the installation or did someone else?

If someone else did the installation, did they test it?

Had a co worker that has done Souter work for over 30 years. We followed the instructions on what to do. Is there somewhere to send the ecu with hondata installed to get it tested and or repaired?

I would recommend that you find someone locally that has a s300 and try your s300 board in their ECU with their calibration and see if it works. If it does then the problem is with your ECU.
