Check Engine Light

Post by ChrisPR »

New to the form.

I just received flash pro(race) for my 2021 civic hatch sports touring(cvt). I registered, lock to car and loaded the 6+ psi high octane tune. Car is completely stock, only 9k miles. I know all dash lights come on and go away while driving which all did expect for check engine light. The software on pc ain’t reading no codes even though engine light on. I went and got hondata app and samething, says no check engine light is on even though it is. I freaked out so I returned ecu to stock and the check engine light is still on. Don’t know what to do at this point, if anyone can help I would appreciate it.

Using FlashProManager hook up to the FlashPro and FlashPro to vehicle, switch on ignition and then go to 'OBDII Diagnostics'. From there go to the 'Diagnostics' tab and refresh the DTC list. You can clear all the DTCs from there too, but first record what DTCs there are.

Did you use the OBDII Diagnostics window to check for DTCs, or some other method?

I used the OBDII window on Hondata software. Online>OBDII Diagnostics>DTCs and no codes were present, even after refresh. I even downloaded hondata app on phone and same results. But when i turned on car this morning the check engine light was gone, not sure what happen.

Hondata can only read ecm related CELs. So most problably you have issue which is non ecm/engine related like in transmission or abs, for example.

OBDII Diagnostics window will show DTCs from modules other than the ECU as well.

I suspect the MIL was from reflashing and it went away after a short drive.

With everything plugged in and the ignition in the on position, go to the Help menu and click on “send feedback”. Include a detailed description of the issue.
