Immoblizer not matched "problem"
Immoblizer not matched "problem"
i just recently traded my stock ecu for a kpro ecu on the clubrsx forum. the guy Eric who i traded with, traded his from another member. but this member sold his car. which now i need his vin number or the immoblizer break code to keep my key light from flashing. well i contacted the guy originally got his ecu done through hondata. but he sold his car which he couldnt give me the vin number. is there a way hondata keeps records or have codes to break the immoblizer code? sorry if this is confusing im just tired of the stupid light flashing at me...
PLEASE HELP!!!

I have been working on this car as well -- Originally the problem was that the car was taken to the dealer without a laptop and any way to enable the immobilizer functionality in k-pro. I went on the last trip to the dealer and had them try after uploading a calibration with the immobilizer enabled. This allowed their honda computer to access the immobilizer, but they still weren't able to match it up. They seem to think they need the VIN from the original car that the ecu came with as bluek20a said.

The car (and hence the imobilizer) is an 02 rsx type-s if I recall correctly. The ecu is from an unknown car, but it is a type-s 02-04 prb ecu. I have an 03 and compared the ecu part numbers and mine was a different revision of the ecu than his (like AX or something).Hondata wrote:What vehicle & year? As long as the immobilizer is plugged in and enabled in the ECU the ECU should be able to be matched to the immobilizer.
We went to the dealer, I enabled the immobilizer in kmanager, and they used the HDC with the odbII port to access the whole setup. Prior to having the immobilizer enabled, they couldn't even get into it. Once enabled, they could actually try to match them, but the HDC kept telling them there was a problem. The acura techs were convinced they needed the VIN from the original car the ecu came from in order to lookup a password / security code to re-program the units with the new ecu. Their HDC just seemed to always refuse them no matter what we did.

Okay, so we went in and we got further. The only option on the HDS was 'replace ecu' under the imobilizer section from their main screen. The other option was replace ecu under pgmfi I think. It did the same thing. Once they entered the password for the ecu correctly, it came up and said NO DTC or DCT if i recall correction -- I asked the tech and he said it was what happens when the ecu cannot be talked to via the odbII port.
It is obvious that it is talking to the ecu however -- they can pull the information, access the imobilizer after we enable it.
At this point, we're somewhat lost for ideas.
