Problem Selecting Custom map sensor

Post by cpur »

Hi Guys
New to Honda and Hondata,
Today we started up a recently overhauled k20a2, with an unknown throttle body. Engine on a stand not in car.

I am saying unknown as the tps was reversed and i found that the crv has the sensor on the opposite side of the shaft. So I am thinking that it is CRV .
However the map sensor port is pluged and was not used on the OEM car the tb came from.

I tried to connect it to the brake booster vacuum pipe on the manifold for the time being. However i could not get a live reading of the map if i select a different map sensor from oem. And the problem was not the map sensor . I managed to start the engine with a pot instead of a map but only with oem map sensor setting, if I select custom, (anyone of them ) the value goes to -29.4psi i believe this is the default ,and even with a full sweep of the pot it always remained the same. Could this be a bug?

Software was downloaded last December and the Kpro is the red one.

Thanks and good evening

The software is out of date and must be updated.

If the engine is not in a vehicle and actually running it will not read correctly.

Post a picture of the K-Pro board.
