S300 V3/not connecting/ usb driver not update

Its been a bit since I have even messed with my car. I had the S300 V1 and found out it took a dump so I sent her in to Hondata and got the V3 update, all was well back in 2019 and really haven't messed with my car much at all because I've been putting my AWD swap in along with beating COVID :) So when I hooked up my ecu it told me to update which I did the software update to 2.7.7 (it was on 2019 software 2.7.3)but shows in the information showing software 2.7.3 so I'm not sure if that's a glitch because in the header it shows the correct version 2.7.7. Firmware version 12 it shows good. I cannot connect properly to the ecu. I tried to update the driver but keep getting "Error updating USB driver (Error:)". When connected via usb cable I'm getting constant red flash from the connection port. if I close out the Smanager it goes solid green. I another couple of things to mention is I was getting fuel pump priming but no crank then a bit later I got crank and no fuel pumps. just looking to get my girl back up please let me know what I can do to get this working again:) TYVM

You do not need to update the driver.

Unplug the ECU from the harness and only plug in the USB and see if it shows online.

I tried that, I have it in the house with me and all the same as described above.

Still flashing red not connecting. Is there anything else I can do? I really would like to get this car on the road again, thanks.

Sorry missed this but it is still doing the same thing, red flashing and not able to upload or do anything because it not connected properly. Under the information tab on S300 on the software it is still showing "software version: 2.7.3" but in the main page header it is showing "Hondata SManager 2.7.8.0" is this correct or is something not right?

You have not uploaded to the s300 using the new version of software. The only way it will show the current version is if you upload. It will not start datalogging just by plugging in the USB either.

I'm not able to perform that function, it is grey'd out for me :( I can't do anything like I was doing when it previously ran.
