Heeltoeauto

Tried again today after uninstalling and reinstalling kmanager. Just seems to be getting errors with anything I try.

Tried to update drivers, and it says "error updating drivers(error:)

I read through the help guide a bit. Should I try taking the cover off and looking at what the red/green LEDs are indicating?

This K-Pro was installed by VIP Performance and not by Hondata. You will need to contact them.

Okay but is there any troubleshooting I can do on my end to try to get it to work?

You will have to determine where the problem is and correct it. Since it works on a known working vehicle, there is nothing wrong with the ECU or K-Pro.

Where did I say it works on a known working vehicle? Just that the car still runs the same as it did before the kpro. It won't flash though.

You might have me mixed up with someone else. This is what I sent you guys.

I took the cover plate off and the green led never turned on the red led would flash with ignition on.

I am trying to find another vehicle to try it in but I live on a military base and I've never seen a rsx/ep3 here or in the small town outside of base. What other cars can I try the ECU in? There is a guy with a 9th gen si in my unit and I have a FK8 and 3rd gen TL

Please double check the serial number on the KPro because we did not sell 60017 to HeelToeAuto

60017 is correct. I guess heeltoeauto sent it to Vip Performance for the installation. Haven't been able to get ahold of them for troubleshooting yet.

Another thing to add. When I go to download from the ECU the file it returns is the one I'm trying to flash to it. Almost like it did take the flash but is giving the error upload failed incorrectly.

Can I get an answer to any of my questions? What other cars can I test the ECU in. The green led never turns on at any time so it's a bad daughter board correct?

All KPros are tested before being sent out, so it is an installation fault. You need to contact whoever did the KPro installation.

Sent it back and they fixed the install and it's working now.

So for future reference if you get clear security fail it's an installation issue.

Also to eliminate it being a wiring issue you can use a multimeter to shoot for correct ECU/sensor voltage. I followed this tech data, but if this happened to me again I would just skip that and send it back right away I was just hoping it was something I could fix on my end.

Hope that when I get a flashpro for my fk8 it goes smoother
