Kpro upload failed/ locking up

02 si ecu type s engine harness
CJ’s kswap conversion

Kpro is online and does see the key on. Whenever I try to upload kal it says upload failed or locks up kmanager
Anything I can do to narrow down the problem?

Have you tried the ECU in a known working vehicle?
