If you have a obd 2 ecu (p2p) and you get a coversion harness (obd2 - obd1) do you need a obd1 ecu aswell? Like a p28?

YEs, the conversion harness is what allows the OBD1 ecu to plug into the OBD2 harness.

...and be sure to get the proper obd2-1 harness, for 96-98 it's an obd2a-1 and for 99-00 it's an obd2b-1.
