Which base map should I use?
I have an 08 si with DC Sports SRI and and Nvidia N1 exhaust and I cannot find anything in the base maps that matches. Which one should I use. Thanks
Re: Which base map should I use?
The basemaps might be a little hit and miss being that you have an aftermarket intake, they tend to run better on a speed density tune and the basemaps from Hondata are MAF based. So, if you want to run a Hondata basemap, you can try pretty much any of the SRI setups and see which one runs the best. Just look over the datalogs for fuel and knock concerns of course.
If you want to run something a little more tailored for your car I can help you using my stuff. Is the intake and exhaust setup you have now your long term setup, or do you have plans to add a header in the near future?

Re: Which base map should I use?
I am not planning on changing a lot till next summer. I plan to boost it next summer but would like the best of what I can get until then. I went ahead last night and put the aem sri map on last night but it shuts my car down at 7500 rpm. I am not sure what that is about. I would appreciate you help if you dont mind. What do you charge for tunes?
Re: Which base map should I use?
Gotcha, without a datalog it's hard to say why it shut down. Sometimes is the pressure to determine vtec threshold or WOT threshold aren't met, it will kick you out of open loop operation at higher rpms like that which makes it feel like a rev limiter almost. There could be other factors, but those are the two I have seen over the past, though that it mostly with stock intake setups. It might be that it just doesn't like being MAF tuned with the intake as well.
But yeah, I can help you with using my stuff if you want. Since you plan to run this setup for a some time, I would recommend tuning it the proper way by tuning each cam angle individually, then blend everything out based on the data to get you the best cam angle map. Since the setup is pretty simple, we can do it a somewhat quicker way of of doing that which would probably take 8-10 revisions, barring no mechanical issues. If you don't have a lot of time to make datalogs, which need to be 20-30 minutes each, we can do it a quicker way using a basemap from similar mods and adjusting it for your car, probably 4-5 revisions, again barring no mechanical issues.
So let me know which route you'd like to go and I will put together the first file for you based on your thoughts. Also sent you a PM on your other question.
