Post by Ravenous Si »

Or just to let you know Derek my car has been running great for 3 days now. Thanks gaing for all the support.
Here is my concern I got the RSX ecu from you and have just unplugged the immobilizer and have yet to take it and get it reset. But have found a guy on our site with the same issue and he was told it cant be done.Is this true?
Here is his post for you to read, let me know what we need to do to get it to work. Thanks
Kpro Green Blinking Monster!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey guys,

Okay as of all you know I have kpro (on a pnd ecu {rsx}) I bought a spare ecu and sent it in for Kpro. I would like to share my experience with you guys all and hopefully I can get a answer. Please note with searching and everything this is my scenario.

Got a kpro pnd (rsx) ecu, just like many of you other kpro users the GBM (Green blinking monster) is bugging the shitz out of me now. So I decided to fork over 100.00+ dollar to get my immobolizer flash with my key. Well I called honda they stated they cant do it because its a acura ecu and they wont be able to program it correctly. So i called Acura, they say with out the Immobolizer key code then can program it. I spent the whole mourning today trying to get everything I needed. I went to mel rapton honda and got my Immobolizer key code, and took it back to acura. The tech there brought out the reader tried to program it and then stated... "I cant do it with out the VIN of the {RSX} ecu" so in my head I was like "wtf? why didnt you tell me this earlier man i wasted my whole mourning". So for the fellow ephatch members who have gone through this type of situation. What is the proper way to get my shitz fixed? I guess I can always send my stock ecu and kpro ecu to hondata to get the kpro swap over (but i lose time). Is there any other alternative or is this guy speaking the truth. I read in one of the forums that acura can reprogram the immobolizer and the ecu. I think this guy was just dicking me around he didnt seem like he knew what he was doing, because he stated it will take 30-45 min to swap ecu (it took me 5 min).

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Your dealership sucks. There is a dealer here in Phoenix that does it all the time for us, all they need is their handheld programmer and 5 minutes. No vin for the RSX ecu needed.
