It goes up like crazy in low rpm in 3rd 4th and 5th gear, I also hear a faint rattling noise that starts around 2,000 rpm too, but rattle goes away after 3,500 rpm, do you think it's a spung rod bearing? The engine starts up good and idles good and hits vtec nice.

Have you tried lowering the timing in the areas you are getting knock?

I would recommend that you have a tuner or shop look at this and see what might be causing the noise.

Would a exhaust leak cause the knock sensor to go off? Right where the cat connects to the header?

Without seeing the car and having hands on it is next to impossible to tell what the cause is. I would recommend having someone local look that is a tuner.

Found out what it was for anyone having this problem, check your metal clutch line that leads from the master cylinder to the slave cylinder, mine was resting on the transmission causing it to rattle and set off the knock sensor so I put it back in its clip now no more knock 🤘
