Green light problem. Please help!

Post by ssksamurai »

Hey guys I just uprgraded to K-pro. I turned on the immboloizer, then uploaded the calibration into the ECU, then I turend off the cay, and when I turned it back on the car wont start at all, and the green light still flashes. When I turn off the immobolizer the green light is still there, but the car turns on. I know its the same ECU that belongs to my car, so its not that. I double checked the ECUs serial number, and its the same one that I shipped. Any help from anyone would be greatly appreciated. I wonder if this is an error on Hondatas part. I called them, and did not get much help from them, so I have to resort to recieving help from my fellow peers. I wonder if Hondata upgraded my ECU and put it inside of another perons ECU metal case, and put their ECU into my case? I have no idea. what do you guys think. Please hlep me. Thank you!

I think that's definitely a possibility...
Installing the k-pro shouldn't affect the immobilizer in the original ECU at all.
So your ECU board might indeed have been (accidentally?) swapped with another one.

The way we process the ECUs makes it unlikely the ECU insides are switched. There is a serial number both on the ECU case and on the ECU circuit board which you could match to double check. Note than some 2005 ECU don't have matching numbers, but 2002-2004 ECUs should have the same serial.

What vehicle & ECU do you have?

Well I called Hondata, and they told me to check the serial codes of the ECU and the number that is outside of the ECU, and it turns out that they are completley different. I dont know what they are going to do to solve this mistake they made, by I will let everyone know as soon as I find out. Just in case, if there are any of you who want to purchase this in the future, you might want to write a note reminding them to send in the same ecu that you send.
