Hi Hondata,
I have been waited for over a month to have my Hondata Flashpro fixed. It will not unlocked from the ECU. I have sent feedback from my Hondata Flashpro a month ago, and i sent email once a week to ask about the update on my case, and i only getting generic answers such as “I have no info on it”
A recap of my case just to refresh your customer support’s memory.
I always keep my Flashpro in my car, with “return to stock” in it. I am using my brother’s laptop to do all the tuning on my car, hence i have that Flashpro ready to return to stock in my car at all time. On May i went to Mazda dealership in San Leandro, California to test drive a Mazda CX30, and they offer me a great deal for trading in my 2018 civic si, so i went ahead, and upload the “return to stock” tune, and trade the vehicle in with brand new Mazda CX30.
I have been busy, and don’t have time to go to his house to use his laptop. Around early June, i went visited him, and i brought my Hondata Flashpro, and tried to unlock it so i can sell it to a friend.
It downloaded and install new updates as i open Hondata app on the laptop, and after it completed the updates, I plugged in the flashpro, and it says “last upload successful“ (the “return to stock” tune). When i tried to unlock the ECU, it says i need to return the tune to stock, which i did.
I emailed your customer support regarding this issue, and they said nothing can be done, and i have to pay $500 to get the Flashpro to work again. I do not have extra $500, and i could use the money from selling it to my friend.
I tried to call the dealership i traded my car in, and they said the car has been sold, and they cannot give information of the new owner to me.
I am a member of CivicX.com forum, and i was hopping the new owner also join the same forum, so i posted a thread asking if somebody bought my old car want to buy my Flashpro, since it’s locked to that Car’s ECU anyway. I posted it on Hondata’s sub forums. A day latter, the moderator of that sub forums reply to my thread, and suggesting me to send feedback from the laptop, with the Hondata Flashpro plugged it, so they can see what is wrong, and try to help me out. I did exactly what the moderator told me, and then i emailed back the same customer support who told me that nothing can be done, and this time, the customer support said they received my feedback, and it will take up to 2 weeks until they can take a look at my case. I waited 2 weeks without any update, so emailed the customer support back, and he said “he have no info about my case”. Since then, that’s the only kind of reply i would get from the same customer support. I emailed him once a week to ask for update, and always the same answers.
I am sorry if i sounds like nagging, but i have been waited more than a month without any updates.
Please let me know what is going on, and when i can unlock my Hondata Flashpro. This is clearly a glitch that causing my Hondata Flashpro to act this way. Also, i do not remember seeing in the manual that the laptop has to be plugged in to the car at the same time with the Flashpro to get it to “return to stock” tune, as the car successfully back to stock when i upload the “return to stock” tune.
If you need me to send another feedback, i will make a trip to visit my brother to borrow his laptop again, just let me know.
Thank you.
