Have you made any datalogs with that calibration loaded in the car? It would be interesting how the car runs with that calibration.

Are you planning on keeping the intake and exhaust as your only mods for a while, or do you have plans for a exhaust or something in the near future? You're probably losing a little bit of power on the calibration you're running because of too much cam angle. That calibration has a lot of cam angle in it and your mod list won't take advantage of that. It will run out of breath before it would utilize that cam angle map. A lower cam angle map based on your mods would give you better overall results.

Anyways, let me know if you plan on adding anything in the near future. If you plan to keep the intake and exhaust as your only mods for a while, I would recommend tuning each cam angle properly like we discussed in the other thread.

If you're getting the exhaust tomorrow, when you do you plan on installing it? Until we see a datalog, I couldn't tell you for certain whether the calibration you're driving on is good or not. The ECU can compensate for a lot of things, so the one you're on should be fine for now, maybe not ideal, but I wouldn't know until you make a datalog for us to look at for you. We can get it safe very quickly, I just need data to help get you there until we tune it for the exhaust setup. Let me know when you plan to put the exhaust on, I don't know if you're buying it locally or having it shipped, so let me know a timeline and we can build a plan from there.

I don't tune these cars to be race cars, so you'll be just fine. I tune them for what the car wants and making sure the fuel and ignition are good. My number one goal is making the car safe, not make it a race car by running things on the edge of safety.

If you're getting it and installing it today we should start the process of tuning it where we lock you on one cam angle at a time and work our way through them all. Usually takes about 6 revisions to get all cam angles tuned. Once that is done, we take that data and build a blended file and work to finalize it over another 5or 6 revisions usually. If you want to just clean up the file you're driving on and not go through the process, we'll have you make a datalog when you get the exhaust installed and then we clean that one up. It's totally up to you and what you would like to do .

If you at putting the exhaust on today, then we don't really need to see any data until you get it installed and decide which route you want to go with tuning.

Pretty nice living near DPS, I've seen and heard they have an insane selection of in stock parts and accessories which is rare in this industry nowadays.

Yeah they are a great shop from what I understand. I used to have one of their intakes back in the day, well it was a Rick Spec'd intake, which I think he was just an employee there or something at one point. Either way, the intake was great and I think it set the tone for S2, Hybrid Racing, and other to do a 3.5" intake.

If you only want to clean up the file you're driving on, make a datalog in the 20-30 minute range with stop and go type city driving. On the drive, make one wide open throttle (WOT) in third gear from 2500-7500. Only do one WOT pull and keep the driving calm until I see the first datalog. Then post the datalog and your calibration you're driving on so I can adjust that for fuel and ignition.
