cant get boost control to work

Post by silver rsx-s »

ok, been having these problems for a while

at about 6000rpms, the car hits 11psi, by 7800rpms its back to 7.3psi (what it runs off wastegate spring)

i've also changed activation pressure to 3psi, same issues

my setup

cn stage1 with 60-1 hifi (5psi spring)
msd 3bar map sensor
kpro with boost control
650cc injectors

heres my kal and datalog of the problem. the datalog is from version 1.2.xx, i updated last night to newest version with same problems

i've checked all charge pipes/couplers and all vacuum lines, no leaks that i can find

Where are you getting your source of boost/vacuum from? at the turbo, or after the throttle body from the manifold.

It is recommended to use the manifold and not the turbo as your source of boost and vacuum.

If the boost is dropping then it is a mechanical issue; nothing to do with the boost control as that just operates the solenoid at a fixed frequency.

Use the intake manifold as the pressure source for the watergate, as per the KManager help file.

use brake booster line? as i the help file says not to use gray hose by cylinder 4 (upside down u)

mines hooked up exactly like palmerblock (followed is install from clubrsx turbo forum)

also its not falling off so bad now, raised activation pressure from 5psi to 5.5psi and it only falls to 8.5psi instead of 7.5, so i'm gonna try 6psi activation and see how that works tonight
