A/F Tuning Issue

Post by PRJ3CTM4YH3M »

Using an external wideband gauge i have noticed something that bothers me that seems to have only started occurring since adding K-pro. Whenever, i initially increase throttle input, whether at 6k rpm or 3krpm, the A/f ratio goes really lean (close to 16:1) for a split second before going rich (open loop). This concerns me. How can i tune this out? its not the A/f tune itself. could it be injector pulse width?

K20z1
DCRH
CAI
60mm exhaust
Hondata IMG

running itr cam/dcrh/cai map for k20a2-- a/f tuned

Thanks

What does the stock wideband say in your datalogs?

it spikes to 16:1 then goes rich IOW follows the wideband gauge (innovate xd-1)

Sounds like a throttle tip-in setting.. Although, there is no provision for adjusting this in the k-pro for some reason.. Future addition perhaps?

Does the car stumble at all when this happens?

no, doesnt seem to. on my r6 sportbike, i had a dynojet power commander (like an advanced fmu). it had a provision to temporarily increase fuel upon initial acceleration.

People aren't going to be able to do much without your calibration and datalog. Just open the datalog where it happens, set a new start and end point to the datalog and save it as another file. Upload that .kdl and the .kal calibration file.

Pull up the datalog graph and click at the point where you want it to begin. There should be either a right click option or a drop down option on one of the menus at the top of the screen to set new start point. Repeat process for the end point, save datalog as a new datalog.
