Sudden bog, cruising at 70 mph on freeway

Post by integrity78 »

I have a 00 gsr with an obd 1 p72. I have had s100 for about two weeks now, but have had to go back a few times for cold idle and check engine light issues. My last visit to the tuner was two days ago, for a check engine light problem. (was left in open loop, kept getting code 1, cel went away after it was put in closed loop) I've been driving the car all day today and everything seemed fine, until on the way home, after a redline pull, I slowed down to 70 mph and the car bogged pretty bad and the check engine light came on briefly then turned off. Everything was normal after that but that didn't seem like it was very good for the car. Will this keep happening? Anybody know what it may be?

You may have hit the revlimit thnd thats why the car bogged...a complete fuel cut.

not likely.....I was at around 4500 rpm when this happened, maybe 15-20% throttle.

could be a loose wire somewhere. That RPM has a very harsh resonance point and may bring out a wiring issue.
